We are located in Schenectady on the Jay Street pedestrian mall. Jay Street is in the heart of downtown, between historic Proctor's Theatre and City Hall. From State Street (Rte. 5), Jay Street meets State opposite Proctor's Theatre. Follow the signs for the Downtown Parking Loop for nearby free parking; the Clinton Street North lot is most convenient, with a walkway from the back of the lot to Jay Street (our building is on the right.
We are easy to reach from the NYS Thruway: from Exit 25 (Schenectady) take Rte. 890 to the Broadway exit (#5). Take a right off the exit ramp to Broadway, travel a couple blocks to a right turn on Clinton Street, entering the Downtown Parking Loop. After crossing State Street, the Clinton Street North free parking lot will be on your left, or continue around the loop for other lots or metered parking on the streets. Metered parking is free on Saturdays and evenings.
From the west, from Exit 26 take Rte. 890 to Erie Blvd.; turn right on to State Street, pass under the railroad tracks, and the second left will be Clinton Street. To avoid downtown construction, continue past State Street to the next right turn (Liberty Street), and park in the free city lot 1 1/2 blocks up. You will see the Jay Street pedestrian mall from the far end of the lot.
In the age of the internet, many people think that every item in a store is on line. For all the items on this site, it is not even 10% of our total stock, and many fine items are only available to those who visit our store. A collector stopped by recently, and I realized that none of the fifteen really interesting items he purchased were on our site. We are not trying to keep things from you, but it takes time to put things on a web site. It's worth a visit if you are passing by Schenectady.
