Detractors will point out errors, and much has happened since the book was originally published, but the two volume set also contains a lot of important material. It should not only be owned, but read - a longtime collector once told me that it should be read cover-to-cover, and after doing so I realized I had missed so much by only browsing through sections that seemed interesting. An essential - no, a required -  part of any good Adirondack collection. If you do not have the original set this reprint is the one to own. Near fine in dust jackets.
