Symmons, Johannes. English; considered a distinctive bookplate because of the landscape illustration rather than just the usual coat of arms. John Herbert Slater, in his work Bookplates and Their Value (1898) dates it to about 1790. 4.125" x 4.25", not mounted. A couple tears have been neatly repaired on the back. Very good.
