Concerning a melody he had written for someone's lyrics that turned out to be not entirely original. In part: "Musical publishers are always very particular with regard to exclusive rights as to the words,... I feel sure it would be of little use trying to sell the copyright. I had sketched out the melody for the song & regret the contretemps. If at any time you should have any original words by you that you do not wish to submit to any particular composers I should be glad to be favored with a sight of them..." Light reside on the back probably caused by glue from an autograph album. Very good.
