Walsh, Robert (1784-1859), editor and diplomat. As an editor, he founded and edited the American Review of History and Politics, the first quarterly magazine; as a diplomat he served as U.S. Consul General in Paris 1844-1851. A biographical entry is glued to the outside sheet, and there is a glue stain in the lower right corner. Light wear; very good. Suitable for research or display.
