Hoffman was known for using Native American language and themes in his writing; he made up the name Tahawus as the original name of New York's highest peak, generally known as Mt. Marcy. Some edge wear, bu the book has been skillfully rebacked in the distant past. Bookplate in teh front, some pencil marks on the text, but a good copy.
